Old Fashion Apple Crisp -- 'Tis the Season!

It has been so long since I have been on here to blog! I have not given up baking, I take pictures here and there when I do! My digital camera was stolen so I didn't keep up for a while--but now I'm BACK! Here is a delicious Old Fashion Apple Crisp Recipe my mom and I made today---YUM!

Recipe:
6 Apples peeled and cored (I used a potato peeler)-- cut the apples into medium size wedges
1/2 cup sugar
2 tsp cinnamon
1 tsp nutmeg
1 half of a squeezed lemon (or 2 tablespoons)
1 half of an orange squeezed (or 2 tablespoons)
Zest from the orange and lemon
(Combine these)

Crumb/Crisp Topping:
3/4 cups brown sugar
3/4 sugar
1 cup plain oatmeal
1/2 tsp salt
1 1/2 cup flour
1/2 lb. butter (two sticks) cubed softened (I used a french fry cutter it worked perfect!)

Combine butter cubes to the topping mix last -- knead the butter in with your hands to the point that the mix is crumbly, then sprinkle it all on top of your apples until they are fully covered by the topping

13x 9 glass baking dish -- heat oven to 350 degrees -- bakes for 45 min to an hour!

Here are step-by-step pictures of my yummy Old Fashion Apple Crisp!
